Photo Journal: Halloween 2008
We celebrated Halloween this year! :) It was really fun. Here I would be showing you what we did for decorations.

We got the styrofoam hand from Art Friend and stuck it beside the lift. We originally put a bigger pumpkin holder but it was too heavy and the styrofoam hand kept dropping. The great thing about the pumpkin holder is that my neighbours actually put sweets in it! ;) And I ate them all without my mum knowing. :D

Popcorn put into plastic gloves make good decorations as well as doorgifts. :) It was really messy trying to put the popcorn inside the gloves though.

And I carved it myself! :D Great experience. However, flies started breeding in there so I had to throw it away after three days.

We also bought a lot of sticky plastic googly eyes (214, actually) and stuck them all over the door and gates. We made our guests try to guess how many there were. The person with the closest guess won a...WATERMELON!!! Yeah, my mom's on a healthy streak now. So all the prizes were fruits. :( Well, at least we got sweets from the trick-or-treat session! :D I love the monster lollipops. Made my friend's lips, tongue and even teeth green! Haha! She tried to rinse it off but it didn't work.

By the way, I managed to get the picture of the eyes resized. Here it is:

Oh yeah, for costumes, my mum bought a whole lot of junk like tissue rolls, gloves, plastic wrap and cotton balls for us to 'exercise our creativity'. We even had a costume contest. My friend and I just clipped on clips, the kind you use to hang your clothes, all over us. Even our hair was tied by a large clip. Not a good idea though. The clips kept falling off. :/

After everything, we played basketball! :)

P. S. I changed the official Where Is The Love video (see post dated 30 July 2008) to the War-edition one because the official one was removed from YouTube. :( Anyway, go see it! :)
